Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• The Contractor personnel shall provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists for patients as scheduled by the Government.

• Performs a variety of MRI/MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography) scans of the body in accordance with department protocols and supervising radiologist directions.

• Ensures patients are properly screened for safety concerns and/or contraindications for MRI exams. Reports concerns to the supervising radiologist or requested health care provider.

• Ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance for the MRI scanning unit.

• Report any patient’s need of immediate medical attention. Findings from emergency response shall be immediately reported to the officer in charge of the MR Imaging facility or his authorized representative.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

• Successful completion of program in Radiologic Technology/MRI as recommended by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and accredited by the Joint Review Commission on Education of Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) that has been approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA).

Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:

• Must have one (1) year experience in hand-on clinical applications within the past two (2) years in the hospital setting.

Security:

• National Background Investigation

• Must be a US Citizen

• Must have reliable transportation to and from site

License/Certification and Training:

• Current and unrestricted certification in Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of the Radiology Technologist (ARRT)or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imagine Technologist (ARMRIT authorized after February 21, 2017)

• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Schedule:

• Sunday –Monday

• Shifts vary

• 8 hour – 16 hour days

• The schedule will be coordinated by the Department Chief, or the Government designated representative. Scheduling is always based on the needs of the Government and must be coordinated through the designated supervisor.
