Job Description:

Our client is seeking a full-time permanent DevOps Engineer to work on its core platforms and data messaging team which supports several business units and commercial platforms within the client. It’s a self-service platform as a service. The department’s goal is to provide a common platform to be leveraged across multiple commercial software applications. The engineer would be expected to:

• Design infrastructure solutions that meet the customers’ business needs

• Integrate customer cabinets with our on-premise hardware solution

• Monitor and support the on-premise hardware solutions installed at our customer clinics

• Work with Architecture to determine the roadmap for our Commercial Software - Cloud Offering

• Automate our hardware build process for continuous deployments

• Determine which cloud offerings will support our DevOps needs

• Support our Cardinal Health Cloud solution that integrates with our customer clinics

• Build DevOps functions (infrastructure automation and configuration) that will scale to support all commercial product teams

• Team creates and maintains build, packaging and deployment scripts

• Manage performance monitoring systems and software instrumentation strategies

• Work closely with developers, testers and engineers to unify operational efforts

• Troubleshoot product issues in a tier 2/3 capacity - fix problems or route them to the appropriate individuals

• Accountable for delivering new features to the product owner
