Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication skills are an absolute must for this position

• IT business analysis experience to hit the ground running – experience eliciting, analyzing, validating, managing, and documenting IT system and application requirements

• Must be a quick learner

• Must be very personable and possess excellent communication & phone presence: i.e., speak up during meetings, correctly communicate and translate requirements to various team

• Must be a team player and must work well alongside other BAs and PMs, but must be able to work independently as well.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,

• Must be detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)

• Must be able to write unambiguous, clear, and verified requirements to the point where they can be tested

• Experience developing functional requirements documents (as well as knowledge of what functional requirements are)

• Experience in requirements elicitation techniques (such as interviews, mockups, meetings, document analysis, and more)

• Practical experience in or a firm understanding of Agile SCRUM and practices used by business analysts.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with standard software development approaches and methodologies such as SDLC, Waterfall, and/or RUP

• Experience with standard requirements elicitation and documentation techniques and work products such as use cases, user stories, business rules, process diagrams, etc.

• Experience in use case analysis and modeling

• Experience in business analyst best practices (i.e. BABOK)

• Experience developing non-functional requirements

• Knowledge of modeling notation (UML, BPMN)

• Experience facilitating meetings and/or JAD sessions

• Experience working on professional projects that use the Agile approach

Job Description:

We are looking for a mid-level (not junior-level and not senior-level) business analyst who will work for us as a direct, full-time employee at our client. You’ll work directly with our client’s internal business units to gather, document, analyze, and communicate requirements for technology projects with local, remote, and/or offshore teams. You will also:

• Serve as a liaison between IT and assigned business units for the purpose of disseminating information from IT related information to the departments.

• Collaborate with other business analysts and project team members across the department and on other projects to share knowledge and experience that can be leveraged for cross project purposes or for improvement in the business analysis process in general.
