Are you a strong, hard worker who pays attention to details? If so, working as a glazier for our team may be the perfect employment for you. We need an educated and skilled glazier who has both technical expertise and practical, on-the-job knowledge. You will travel extensively, work full time with other team members and take job site responsibility for doing the work right and treating customers with courtesy and respect.


Travels to job sites, both locally and nationally, to assemble and install finished, heavy plate and architectural metal storefront systems and glazing, at times with little notice.


- Journeymen are expected to have extensive knowledge installing large glass and stainless steel and be able to work with architectural metals for storefront systems.

- Have the ability to oversee 1-3 staff members for short periods of time

- Layout “smaller’’ projects

- Have the ability to work alone

- Solve minor job related issues

- Must be able to read fabrication drawings

- Have a full understanding of installation and adjustment of various types of doors.

- Maintain and/or participate in current job related safety and training.

- Knowledge of various glass related equipment and tools, basic hand tools, general safety and health regulations required

- Unload materials from truck and stage properly on jobsite.

- Work closely with, and take direction from, foremen and lead foremen

- Accurately verify all materials received against packing lists

- Install illuminated and non-illuminated signage.

- Have basic finishing skills (Paint, Stain, Bondo etc.)


- Heavy plate and architectural metal background.

- Must have an understanding of aluminum storefront systems and glazing.

- An eye for detail

- Ability to follow instructions and make calculations

- Ability to read shop drawings, good organizational skills, and communication skills.

- Knowledge of the various types of glass, glass equipment glazing tools, small power tools, laser line levels, and basic hand tools

- Requires understanding of mathematics

- Knowledge of basic first aid, general construction safety procedures, and health and safety regulations

- Finish carpentry skills are useful.

- Basic knowledge of cellular phone use, digital camera use, and Microsoft Office computer software.
