Continuous Improvement Engineer - $90-100K (Excellent benefits & relocation assistance) – Heavy Industrial Manufacturing (Metals, Chemicals, Automotive) - Will support plant operations by contributing towards improving safety, quality, and operational performance through the utilization of continuous improvement techniques. Job is located in NW suburb of Pittsburgh. Job Duties: Be a leader/facilitator of change. Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization and be a strong communicator. Must be able to work with cross-functional teams toward successful outcomes of continuous improvement and optimization projects. Provides technical support/training of Lean & Six Sigma tools such as 6S, Process Mapping, SMED, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and 5-why as required to achieve targets in Safety, Quality, and Operational Efficiency initiatives. Provides technical support and participates in (A3) structured problem solving and Root Cause/Corrective Action activities. Insures SOPs and Checklists are updated when appropriate. Technical resource for development, implementation, and tracking of OE projects. Provides technical support to functional areas toward achievement of KPI targets.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: BS Degree (Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial); 2-5 years of CI experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing operation; preferably in the primary metals, chemicals or automotive industry. Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification; Proficient computer skills including M/S Office; Lean Manufacturing training in waste reduction and 6S; Travel is expected to be up to 10% for this position.
