Fabricate parts using various Brakes & Shears to create, cut, bend, shape and customize metal materials into a variety of forms.

Specific Duties & Essential Functions:

- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, blueprints and shop drawings to produce desired forms

- Determine material blanks, layout, cut, notch per blueprints

- Maintain all tolerances as indicated by blueprints

- Collect correct materials needed to fabricate parts

- Performs routine maintenance on machines and tooling

- Additional duties as assigned

Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to organizational standards and policies, and legal regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Act (EPA).

Physical Requirements:

Seeing, hearing, speaking, stooping, bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 75 pounds), fingering, grasping, feeling.

Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:

- Must be able to distinguish different types of metals and material thickness

- Must be able to apply mathematics including converting fractions to decimals

- Must be able to produce material blanks based on blueprint information

- Capable of working with steel, aluminum, stainless, brass and copper as well as MIG or TIG

- Must have tools relevant to the Sheet Metal trade

Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED diploma, or related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
