Job Duties include but are not limited to:

See initial orthopaedic consults; Order/interpret appropriate radiographic exams to

evaluate orthopaedic injuries and consult with Orthopaedic staff when necessary.

Brace or splint extremity injuries as needed and place personnel on profile or quarters in accordance with service policy

Perform topical and local infiltration anesthesia; manage nonsurgical orthopaedic conditions and perform joint injections or aspirations when clinically indicated.

Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty medical care within the limits of their training and privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:

Minimum of two (2) years experience, with one (1) year experience in Family Health in the last three (3) years.

General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, excellent communications, and customer service skills required.

Security:

National Background Investigation

Must have reliable transportation to and from site

License/Certification and Training:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association

Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association

Maintain a current Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).

Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association

Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant

DEA registration numbers are required for Physician Assistant
