Job Duties including but not limited to:

-Perform complex respiratory procedures with minimal supervision.

-Participate with physicians, nurses and other staff in planning respiratory treatment, with great reliance on the individual’s knowledge of the equipment.

-Provide emergency or critical respiratory care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

-Associate degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).


-At least 12 months of experience within the last 18 months performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to care for and treat patients.

-Must have knowledge of general anatomy and physiology; cardiopulmonary system structures and functions; basic pharmacology; patient care theory, procedures, and techniques; medical terminology; aseptic techniques; medical ethics; resuscitation techniques; maintaining and operating cardiopulmonary laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic equipment; medications, and medical computer systems.


-National Background Investigation

-Must be US Citizen

-Reliable transportation to and from work site

License/Certification and Training:

-Possess certification as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

-Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association


-12-hour shifts any day of the week (7:00 AM- 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM) including weekends and holidays

-May be required to rotate shifts
