Computer Operator/Die Assembler

Company is looking for an unique candidate that has experience using Adobe Illustrator, Cimex CAD Design software and is experienced at die making.

Job Summary

• Produces and repairs cutting dies in accordance with company policy and procedures.

• Reads and follows blueprints, shop orders or other instructions in order to repair and build die cutting dies.

• Evaluates and creates files and plotter samples.

• Review jobs to determine the level of design and prep work that will be required using Adobe Illustrator and Cimex CAD design software.

• Measures parts accurately using scales, micrometers and calipers.

• Perform rule bending techniques.

• Uses table saw, band saw and hand power tools in creating cutting dies

• Orders cutting die supplies and tools using PSI purchasing system.

• Read and interpret job tickets, packing requests and other instructions.

• Effectively communicate with other functional areas and departmental leaders.

• Ensure safe work environment and abide by all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma required. Associates degree in related field preferred.

• Minimum 2 years full-time die making/assembly experience.

• Strong Adobe Illustrator and Cimex CAD skillset.

• Thorough knowledge of finishing or printing industry

• Qualified candidate will possess strong a mechanical aptitude.

• Self- motivated with strengths in time management, organization and attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize and perform tasks efficiently

• Requires ability to perform basic math functions

• Experience using rule bending equipment

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Must be a team play: We value teamwork, a positive attitude and the willingness to do what is needed for our customer.

• Must have knowledge and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, table saw, rule bender, band saw, cut-off saw and grinder.

This is a Spit shift position, scheduled hours 11:00am-7:00pm, M-F with overtime availability. Training will be conducted on First Shift, 8:00am-4:00pm for up to 12 weeks.

Bottom line requirements we need notes on with candidate submittal:
