As a rapidly growing high technology firm, we are looking to fill the newly-created position of Systems Support Specialist. • Responsible for configuration and installation of desktop computers

• Provide ongoing technical support to staff members

• Troubleshoot workstations, software and computer peripherals

• Create Active Directory users and groups

• Create and administer computer images

• Manage server backups and restore files/servers

• Document procedures and post to internal knowledgebase

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university with an excellent academic record; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Experience working in a mixed-platform environment running both Linux and Microsoft systems

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Must be U.S. citizen

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Strong technical aptitude

• Able to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced, high energy environment

• Able to travel as needed (once or twice a year) to regional offices

• Physically able to lift at least 70 pounds

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Linux (CentOS, Redhat, Ubuntu)

• Windows 7/10

• Windows Server (Server 2008/2012/2016)

• Windows Active Directory (Account Management)

• Windows Server Applications (Exchange, IIS, SharePoint, Veeam);

• Virtualization (VMWare ESXi 6.x/vSphere, VDI);

• HP Hardware Management;

• Voice over IP (VoIP) experience.

• Windows and Linux Scripting.
