Location: 404 Union Boulevard Allentown, PA

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $14.72 Per hour on W2

Shift: 2nd shift 3:20PM-11:30PM and 3rd Shift : 10pm to 7am($15 for 3rd shift)

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

The EDM Machine Operator A will:

• Set-up and operate electrical discharge machines, radial and straight, to shape metal work pieces to specifications, following standard charts and manuals and applying knowledge of set-up and operation of electrical-discharge processes and methods.

• Examine operation sheets and plan operation and fabrication of electrodes.

• Turn controls to adjust machine setting, such as voltage, current, frequency and electrode feed rate according to information in charts and knowledge of electrical-discharge machining procedures.

• Start machine and observe beginning of operation and adjust controls such as voltage, current, frequency and electrode feed rate according to information in charts and knowledge of electrical-discharge machining procedure and adjust machine setting to position electrode in work piece.

• Inspect first piece visually and with templates and other measuring instruments for conformance to specifications. Maintain measured dimension list. Inspect key dimensions on each piece and record dimensions.

• Troubleshoot production quality and machine problems.

• Maintain tools and measuring instruments supplied by company.

• Maintain company production and quality standards.

• Report unusual problems or conditions to supervisor.

• Observe company safety rules and regulations.

• Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties.
