Our client, a leading manufacturer of energy-saving light, shade, and temperature controls for new and existing homes and offices is seeking a legal professional to join their national team, located in the NE Region of the US to work in the capacity of Senior Regulatory Counsel. The chosen candidate will interface with US and Canadian Regulatory Agencies on regulatory matters. The ideal candidate would be an attorney, currently working within the manufacturing industry with regulatory experience within the US and Canada.


•Engage, collaborate and parter with Outside Counsel on regulatory matters.

•Develop Compliance Programs relating to relevant regulatory agencies, including developing appropriate policies and procedures, audits and training.

•Manage all regulatory issues for the organization in both the US and Canada.

•Keep the organization advised of new and prospective changes in US and Canadian regulations that affect client and its business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1. Bachelor’s Degree is required. JD is required.

2. 7 - 10 years of experience working in the capacity of a Regulatory Attorney is required.

3. 3 – 5 years of experience as legal counsel with a manufacturing company is preferred.

4. Knowledge of CPSC, FTC, FCC, DOE and Data Privacy rules and regulations is required.

5. Preferred knowledge of Canadian equivalents is a strong plus.

6. Knowledge of regulatory agency processes and procedures is required.

7. Experience dealing directly with government officials.

8. Experience developing and implementing training programs is required.

9. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

10. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

11. Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

12. Strong relationship building skills with a history of significant interaction at all levels within an organization, including those of the senior executive team.

13. Excellent communication skills (i.e. verbal, written, organizational, presentation and interpersonal) are required.

14. Proficiency utilizing MS Office (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.) is required.
