Business Development Director - 1

Client would really like to see someone who has experience selling in the Dallas, TX area. Though it is not a must, this region is the preference.

Responsible for developing new client business and building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Protects and enhances organization's brand, image and reputation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic

Monitors and reports on competitor marketing activities

Assists in the development of strategic marketing plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives.

Recommends company positioning and strategies to produce optimal long-term market share growth.

Assists in development of advertising and promotion activities.

Develops multi-year strategies for attracting new business.

Ensures consistent implementation of corporate brand throughout all regions.

Pipeline Development

Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.

Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

Fosters relationships with potential client key decision makers

Analyzes client business opportunities

Develops negotiating strategies and positions; estimating partners' needs and goals

Creates and implements tactical strategies and measureable objectives for developing new client business

Implementation

Analyzes individual business opportunities for strategic fit, S&E operational capability and long term profitability.

Meets with key clients, maintains relationships, negotiates and close deals.

Collaborates with other S&E functions to create and support client interest.

Drafts presentation decks, talking points, statements and other work product to support client development.

Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

Reporting and Administration

Manages within budget.

Develops, enhances and maintains a variety of sales tracking and opportunity reports.

Develops and improve decision-making tools and analytics.

Submits reports on plans, activities, potential sales volume, areas of proposed client base expansion, new sales, etc.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.

9+ years of prior sales experience; sales management experience preferred

5+ years of business development experience

3+ years collaborating with Marketing to implement brand initiatives

5+ years Default Industry experience, including sales and industry networking

Proven business development success and ability to meet challenging sales goals

Sales planning skills

Closing skills

Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Demonstrated excellent professional written and oral communication skills

Versatile, flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and high energy

Demonstrate a high degree of analytical and problem solving abilities

Ability to successfully, positively and pro-actively manage our critical relationships with customers, service providers and fellow employees

Physical Demands

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

9. The default experience must be on the creditors side. Targeting candidates who have experience selling to Banks and financial institutions.
