Description

HR

Assist Manager of People & Culture with administrative activities associated with new hires and terminations.

Together with our benefits broker, direct and assist employees regarding enrollment, eligibility, claims, qualifying events, network limitations and other benefits issues as they arise.

Assist with Workers Compensation claims.

Assist with Recruiting.

Review, update, troubleshoot and process monthly insurance billing.

Prepare HR reports including monthly Headcount Report, Turnover Report, EEOC, etc.

Collect, organize, enter and maintain employee information in HRIS (currently ADP)

Work on various projects throughout the year.

Payroll

Perform full-cycle processing and data entry for weekly and biweekly multi-state payrolls using ADP’s integrated HR/Payroll/Time & Labor system, including processing and maintenance of wage garnishments, off-cycle (manual) checks, distribution of payroll checks, and maintenance of paper and electronic records.

Enter, verify, and process employee time and attendance records using the Time & Labor system. Maintain paid time accrual records.

Process authorized employee data change documents. Maintain accurate and current electronic personnel data and paper employee master files.

Train employees on the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

Research and resolve all payroll inquiries, ensuring payroll policies are followed.

Initiate new states registration for hires located outside California to ensure proper state taxes are taken.

Recommend, develop and maintain payroll procedures to improve efficiency.

Compile data and generate various payroll and statistical reports using ADP reporting tools. Ensure government reports are dispersed in a timely and accurate manner.

Post weekly and bi-weekly payroll activity to general ledger. Reconcile various payroll-related GL accounts.

Stay current of payroll requirements and best practices, ensuring payroll compliance with all applicable state, local and federal laws.

Provide an exceptional level of customer service and responsiveness.

Administrative Support

Happy to help and jump in to help with the front desk as needed – greeting guests, sign-in and notifying proper employees.

Perform miscellaneous tasks such as making copies, setting up conference rooms for meetings and conference calls, etc.

Assist and collaborate with the Office Manager on Wellness Wednesdays and Birthday Cakes.

Assistance with creating flyers and updating bulletin boards.

Related college degree or equivalent experience.

CPP preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Fast-paced office environment with moderate level of noise and frequent interruptions.

Must be able to perform repetitive data entry and sit for extended periods of time.

Can lift 20 lbs.
