The Manager of Project Engineering will lead a team of 8-12 Project Engineers as well as contracted resources to execute the design and installation of production facilities and equipment. The Manager of Project Engineering will act as a liaison between mill and Corporate Engineering & Capital groups. This position will report to the Business Unit Manager of Maintenance & Engineering.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee the development and execution of capital projects which includes the resources, costs, schedule, roles, responsibilities and quality as defined in the IP Project Delivery Process.

Provide leadership and be committed and engaged in safety process.

Actively participate in Mill’s Safety Programs and ensure contractors Safety programs are complete.

Ensure Capital Plan efforts along with other engineering groups’ responsibilities are effectively coordinated and communicated.

Develop 5 year Capital Plan

Develop and manage cost savings projects to support Mill objectives

Manage Capital plan forecasting and spending on monthly basis

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is required

2. 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer/Manager required

3. Supervisory experience required

4. Pulp and Paper experience will be a plus

5. Maintenance experience with reliability aptitude preferred

6. Good communication skills with internal customers, engineering consultants and vendors are a must
