Metallurgical Engineer - $80-90K – Steel & Aluminum Products Fabrication - Tasks include: - Developing and refining of operating procedures. - Implementation of new technology. - Technical training and development of operations personnel. - Supporting process improvement and optimization. - Technical Studies to support CAPEX investments. Developing and executing Annual Action Plans. Participating in Technical Committees and benchmarking. - Provide preliminary engineering services for department projects and cost justification.

BS degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or Material Science is required - 1 to 3 years of steel or Aluminum industrial experience is highly preferred will consider other primary metals industries if candidate has proven metallurgy expertise. Knowledge of metallurgy and an understanding of steel or aluminum manufacturing techniques used in the melting, refining, and casting of molten steel or modern rolling practices. Must be able to apply engineering fundamentals to the continuous improvement efforts of production and maximize the efficiency of the overall department operations. Must have proven experience working on the shop floor with hourly, non-exempt, exempt and senior level management Proven ability to work independently, be a self starter, problem solver and self directed. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment. Excellent communication skills written and verbal this is to include internal and external customers. Proven ability to create and present information to all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
