Job Description

Are you ready to take your job to the next phase? We are continuing to grow… and have an opportunity on our first shift for an experienced maintenance technician with working knowledge of electrical materials and uses and familiarity with electrical codes. The responsibilities for this position involve continued maintenance and performance of extrusion and rewind equipment, including troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all the electrical equipment in our manufacturing facility located in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Identifies electrical panel boards, breaker boxes, switch gear and the ability to trace electrical trouble source and complete needed repairs.

•Installs wiring, runs conduit, builds panel boards, maintains inspection of motors and electrical equipment, including installing and relocating equipment.

•Sets-up, replaces and tests electrical circuits, and mechanical equipment.

•Inspects and tests electrical lighting, switches, sockets, signal and communication and power circuits. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, and motors using appropriate electrical instruments.

•Dismantles electrical/mechanical machinery and replaces defective electrical/mechanical parts such as bearings. Assists in mounting motors, transformers, and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.

•Set-up and troubleshoot variable speed drives. Basic familiarity of PLC’s ability to recognize and adjust sensors, photoelectric eyes, proximity switches and limit switches.

•Performs preventative maintenance on equipment within the facility.

•Initiating and completing maintenance work orders and maintaining records for calibration.

•Repairing and calibrating electrical heat controls and maintenance of AC and DC drives.

•Responsibility for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment by following all company, plant and department specific safety rules, policies and programs.

•Problem solves to help identifying issues and offer opportunities for improvement concerning equipment operation and the manufacturing process to maximize production and cost containment.

Desired Experience:

•Electrical 480 – 3 Phase

•MIG Welding

•AC/DC Motor Drives

•HVAC and/or plastic extrusion (is a plus but not required)
