Our client focuses on high tech industry IPOs and does not perform any audit or tax services. The firm’s core expertise is in four areas: Technical Accounting, IPO Services, M&A Services and Financial/Operational Processes. As a key contributor on the engagement teams, you will apply your educational background and the experience obtained from public accounting to some of the most exciting clients in the world. Your work will involve preparing the firm’s clients with an IPO, M&A transaction or an audit. You will be involved with various technical accounting projects, including revenue recognition, equity accounting, technical memos, audit preparation and writing technical accounting policies.

I. Senior Manager / Manager - Technical Accounting

• Add value through complex transactions including IPOs, M&A, Reverse Mergers, etc.

• Lead engagement teams and own client relationships

• Strengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and strategic approach to service delivery

• Add value to clients to successfully prepare and complete audits

• Add value to public and private clients by assisting in any of the following:

1. Detailed revenue analysis and revenue recognition

2. Equity – stock compensation (FAS 123R, warrant accounting) and EPS

3. Draft or review complex sets of financial statements with disclosures

4. SEC Reporting, including 10K, 10Q and other filings

5. Identification and application of technical accounting guidance to client situations

6. Global accounting activities including IFRS, foreign currency and consolidations

• Understand technical accounting background, FASB and SEC rules and regulations, client deadlines and deliverables, requests and preferences to deliver excellent client services

• Identify, analyze and conclude on generally accepted accounting principles for the client and consult with director or engagement partner

• Ensure work is delivered timely and in accordance with firm standards

• Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct

• Interact with clients / auditor and manage multiple projects

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 5 – 7 years (7+ for senior manager) of public accounting and industry experience required (minimum of 3 years in public accounting)

• 3 or more years of prior supervisory experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required

• CPA license required

• Ability to manage teams and own their work product

• Hard working, detail oriented and ability to motivate engagement teams

• Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting

• Experience writing complex technical accounting position papers

• Strong technical accounting knowledge of GAAP

• Aptitude for technical accounting research and self-education, desire to learn and be an expert

• Experience and familiarity with technology industries preferred

• Ability to act and lead as the client contact

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

• Ability to travel up to 20%

II. Senior / Staff - Technical Accounting

• Add value to clients to successfully prepare and complete audits

• Add value to public and private clients by assisting in any of the following:

• Detailed revenue analysis and revenue recognition

• Equity – stock compensation (FAS 123R), warrant accounting and EPS

• Draft or review complex sets of financial statements with disclosures

• SEC Reporting, including 10K, 10Q and other filings

• Support of quarterly or month-end closes

• Identification and application of technical accounting guidance to client situations

• Global accounting activities including IFRS, foreign currency and consolidations

• Apply knowledge and understanding of governing principles, apply these principles to client transactions and communicate an understanding and application of these principles

• Identify, analyze and discuss generally accepted accounting principles for the client, when necessary, with the Manager, Senior Manager and engagement partner

• Identify complex accounting issues and bring them to the attention of engagement leaders for resolution

• Strengthen client relationships and contribute to the generation of additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and strategic approach to service delivery

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 1-5 years of prior experience in public accounting required

• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certification

• Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting

• Aptitude for technical accounting research and self-education, desire to learn and be an expert

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required

• Ability to travel up to 20%
