Our Client is a highly respected, leading food processor with facilities located in Oregon and California. The QA Manager will manage QA Lab Technicians, QA Lab Assistants, plant sampling teams and QC Inspectors. This is a great opportunity to join a highly positive management team in an attractive western part of the country offering year-round recreation opportunities.


• Lead corporate compliance to food safety regulations and quality systems, including: third party audits, preventative controls, policy, procedure, and crisis management.

• Lead the QA staff at the facility, member of a team consisting of the Operations Managers, Production, and Product Development staff.

• Ensure compliance of established specification for all products client produces.

• Provide quality-related information, key performance indicators, and technical guidance to Operations during on-going processing, implementation of process changes, and R&D runs.

• Monitor and audit supplier program of raw materials, ingredients and packaging to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Contact liaison for customer driven, and government inspections or audits. FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) compliance, Food Safety and HACCP program, training and continuous improvement.

• GFSI certification with SQF by maintaining requirements and ensuring compliance with continuous improvement, internal audits, document control, and training.

• Assists in the development of new products and implementation of processing changes.


• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences desired.

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and provide business references.

• 3-5 years QA experience in food/fruit processing.

• Extensive knowledge of Food Safety, Food Regulatory, HACCP, GMP and statistical process control programs.

• Maintain and Obtain SQF certifications through an accredited SQFI training program.

• Knowledge of Quality Control standards, techniques and practices.

• Possess strong organizational skills, leadership skills, computer skills, communication skills and interpersonal skill.
