Leon is looking for a super talented Software Testing Engineer

to join our Leon'e Furniture Ltd team. A detail oriented person with a versatile approach, as the projects tend to vary.

Software Testing Engineer

Reporting :

Test Team Leader


Head Office, Cork

Job Description:

• Develop Test strategies and detailed plans as part of a cross functional

development team

• Ensure the software under development aligns with the test strategy and that

the testing is executed with sufficient test coverage to meet or exceed quality


• Maintain and continuously improve the quality of the test coverage, processes

and the accuracy of defect evidence and system performance

• Work with development leads to ensure testing environments are correctly

prepared and identify and resolve important/blocking bugs expeditiously

• Work with the business analyst team and the business users to ensure

Requirements Specifications and Functional Specifications are clearly

understood and develop Testing plans and scenarios for System and User

Acceptance Testing.

• Write Installation Qualification documentation to ensure validation of software

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

• 3 + years overall software QA experience

• Experience with the bug tracking tool JIRA

• Experience using HP Quality Center

• Testing web based systems

• Testing systems built using Java and .NET

• Knowledge of Objected Oriented Programming Techniques

• Acquaintance with 21 CFR Part 11

Competence and Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Excellent organizational skills required.

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodology
