Description:

1. BASIC PURPOSE

• Removes gloves from totes received from Stripper/Turner Process.

• Perform 100% visual inspection and dimensional checks based on customer Specific Processing Order Document to ensure a continuous level of acceptable quality product.

•Apply stamp to gloves that have been inspected, create all product labels, accurately create all clichés based on specification, and package gloves per customer requirements.

2. DIMENSIONS

• Inspection Measured Standards: Is able to inspect gloves at a rate of 400 – 600 pairs per shift.

• Inspector is required to inspect some gloves on the inside and outside.

• Inspector is required to perform some dimensional checks of gloves during the 100% visual inspection process.

• Based on Standard Work Procedure, inspector is required to take some gloves to QC for physical testing.

• Inspector/Packager is required to perform some testing of gloves using the Porosity and/or Electrical Test Machines.

• Inspector/Packager is required to operator the Pad Print Machine, make ink for machine usage, dry gloves, run Chlorinator Machine, etc.

3. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Essential

1. Basic reading/writing and math skills for following procedures, reporting production.

2. High School diploma or GED and 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.

3. Basic computer skills in order to enter inspection results into Yield Database, enter traceability data and test results into the computer.

4. Maintains good safety and attendance record in accordance to Plant policies.

5. Performs all job duties in conjunction with Plant established quality system.

Desired

1. Rubber Glove manufacturing experience.

2. Lean Manufacturing experience.

3. ISO9000 experience.

4. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

A. 100% visual inspect gloves at a rate of 400 – 600 pairs per shift.

B. Pack gloves at a rate of 400 – 600 pairs per shift.

C. Test glove for thickness using instrument such as calipers and micrometers.

D. Perform Electrical Testing of gloves using Electrical Test Machine.

E. Chlorinate gloves using the Chlorinator Machine.

F. Dry gloves using dryers.

G. Perform Porosity Testing of gloves using Porosity Test Machine.

H. Enters inspection results into Yield Database.

I. Create product labels.

J. Accurately create Clichés based on specification.

K. Apply stamp to glove using stamp machine.

L. Place gloves in plastic bags and seal using Bag Seal Machine.

M. Maintain safe and clean workplace using 5S.

N. Follow all Standardized Work Instruction

O. Reports all faulty or unsafe conditions to supervision.

P. Performs other job related duties as directed by shift supervision.

Q. Commits to and participates in plant 5S and continual improvement activities.

5. SPECIAL CHALLENGES

• Utilize care when cutting sleeves to correct length specification.

• Utilize care when mixing ink for use at stamping machine.

• Utilize care when transferring/loading chemicals into Chlorinator Machine.

• Maintain strict compliance with all procedures related to all processes.

• Perform redundant check to confirm inspection results are accurately entered into the Yields Database.
