6. Developing vendor and contractor relationships at the region.

7. Achievement of external Quality Audit and Safety Audit Ratings.

8. Adherence to safety standards measured by reportable accidents.

9. Ensuring all statutory compliances at site and liaison with consultants & various statutory authorities.

10. Participate in discussions with the Engineering and Technical Services Heads to provide inputs on design on the projects to be undertaken.

11. To ensure set technical standards are communicated and being implemented by the execution teams.

12. To ensure overall efficient resource management, drive cost reduction & achievement of targets.

13. To identify and build partnerships with outsourced vendors and contractors.


1. To be involved in preparation of detailed project plans for the region along with the Engineering Head and all required departments and partners.

2. To participate in the detailed preparation of the budgets and periodically review cost estimates.

3. To study the designs & drawings that has been prepared for construction and provides feedback, if any, to the Engineering Head and Design Head.

4. To participate in periodic project reviews with the Project Heads & Engineering Head and at the Corporate Office level.

5. To monitor the work at the site (execution) through Project Managers.

6. To resolve any critical issues/problems (technical or others) arising at site.

7. To ensure that all measures of safety have been incorporated at the site and no aspect critical to employee safety has been overlooked.

8. To ensure manpower numbers in the region are maintained at the desired levels.

9. To ensure availability of materials & equipment required on site at the right time & right quantities and also ensuring that they meet all quality standards.

10. To develop reliable vendors at the regional level and support in identification of outsourced services and contractors.

11. To ensure timely payments to supplier/ vendors/ contractors through coordination with Regional finance team.

12. To ensure that all Quality Assurance & Quality Control activities are being carried out effectively and in a timely manner.

13. To ensure that all statutory compliances are adhered to and maintained up to date.

14. To interact regularly with key partners / consultants at the region.

15. To liaise regularly with key influencers, state government and local administration authorities.

16. Co-ordination with MEP Consultants, architects and other services involved.

17. Co-ordination with Commercial Department. On all variation claims by providing supporting Documents i.e., Contract Documents, CR’s, EI’s etc. Advising Commercial department for design changes and variations / cost savings.
