Multiple positions.

Act as Fabric Care Fragrance expert for Firmenich, Inc., for both the North America and Southern & Central America regions. Develop fragrances with expert Perfumers that beat competitive submissions in Fabric Care: Detergents, Fabric Conditioners and Fabric Beads. Develop the Fabric Care fragrance strategy for large client. Work with the client to understand brand strategy. Evolve Firmenich fragrance strategy to fit brand strategy to optimize the ability to win fragrance briefs. Do Consumer Home Visits to understand how to best develop fragrances that deliver against performance requirements in real world washing environments. 10% travel (including client visits).

Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Biology-, Chemistry-, or Business-related field (will also accept completion of 4+ years of study towards a qualifying post-secondary degree). Requires at least 5 years of experience in the development of fragrances for use in consumer clothing detergents and related products. All qualifying experience must include: demonstrated understanding of the chemical limitations of fabric care product formulations and their interaction with raw materials under diverse wash conditions; technical evaluations protocols to measure long-lasting performance; analysis and application of consumer research results to develop improved fragrances; Olfactive classification of fragrances; Developing an Olfactive Strategy in alignment with a Brand Strategy; Designing testing protocols; and, Integrating technology into fragrance matrices to deliver performance at specific wash stages, including encapsulation and pro fragrance and malodor fragrance design.
