Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of three to five years of automation testing experience and three to five years of manual testing experience

• Minimum of five years of IT industry experience

• Must have experience creating automation frameworks in Ruby or an equivalent automation programming language

• Ruby, Cucumber, and Specflow – strongly preferred. If candidates don’t have those skills, then extensive experience in Java and Selenium is required

• Must have hands-on experience in writing automation scripts at a framework and script level.

• Ability to develop and implement a testing strategy from automation and manual

• Must know how to use unit test coverage and code complexity to create comprehensive test strategy

• Ability to coach and guide the team in any automation framework implementations

• Bachelors’ degree in MIS or CIS preferred. At least 5+ years of work experience.

• Deep knowledge of test automation strategies and automation principles.

• Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing efficiencies in the testing lifecycle.

• Expert knowledge in SQL for database inquiries.

• Deep understanding and hands on experience with web technologies

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Solid understanding of project management methodologies.

• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Job Description:

We are seeking an IT QA Test Engineer who will be responsible for developing test automation frameworks and for aligning cross-functional business test automation libraries to maximize efficiencies and execution time and minimizing maintenance costs. He or she will:

• Develop test automation frameworks.

• Work with application development teams to ensure testability of functions, data and applications and will use code analysis tools.

• Create comprehensive test strategies

• Provide oversight and review of automated test scripts for team and project deliverables.

• Work with development leaders to create automation architectures that align test and development libraries for maximum re-use and minimal maintenance.

• Establish and ensure adherence to architecture standards, data management policies, leading presentation in architecture review, strategic automation directions, best practice development, and code reviews.

• Negotiate, communicate and deliver effective automated test solutions to both development and Test Engineering organizations.

• Partner across the IT organization to influence timeline tollgates, high quality requirements, design and strategic contingency planning.

• Correlate issues, risks and synergies across multiple projects and applications.

• Implement suitable continuous integration frameworks enabling early identification of defects and higher quality software.

• Identify areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles and automation of test scripts.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
