To be considered for this Automation Project Design and Development of new High-speed Custom Automation equipment, you’ll need:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience with the design of High Speed Automation equipment, Project Management, and 3D Parametric CAD Software & Siemens NX CAD

• Excellent computer & people skills; ability to present to groups – including customers

• Be specific with your design experience as you must have multi-gigabit high speed design experience.

As the Design Engineer team leader, your typical workday will require:

• Working with almost every department as you design equipment according to customer specs & develop the work instructions, bill of materials, and quality standards for new and ongoing products

• Handle the Project Management starting with the concept & design, simulation & tests, verification, analysis, characterization, and qualification to volume production of multi-gigabit high-speed components and assemblies

• Hands-on Automation Design such as the connector and cable manufacturing machines

• Utilizing Siemens NX CAD

• Calculating the assembly feasibility, equipment cost estimates, automation & fixture design for high-speed components

• Providing technical support for the launch of equipment, machine installation, and development of new or altered tooling.
