Industrial Electrician

Major purpose: In this position you will apply your thorough technical knowledge of advanced electronic theory and practice to adjust, modify, overhaul, and repair electronic or electrical industrial plant and production equipment and systems, such as electronically controlled machines, laser welders, temperature controls, and other equipment of similar complexity. You'll also troubleshoot, locate and diagnose electrical deficiencies and malfunctions throughout our 339,000 square foot facility to ensure that systems and equipment are functioning properly

Major functions:

Technical/Functional skills: You will need at least five years of journey-level experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting (not residential or commercial). Other qualifications that will enable you to do this job successfully include:

• Requires a strong background in production and facilities equipment maintenance and repair.

• Demonstrated ability to determine appropriate methods for installing, adjusting and maintaining advanced industrial systems, electronic controls (including programming of PLC’s), factory machinery and equipment is needed.

• Proficiency in the use of electronic and electrical measuring instruments and other relevant tools and equipment is necessary.

• The ability to work from blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams, and verbal or written instructions is required.

• Experience designing electrical and electronic circuits is preferred.

• Familiarity with lasers is highly desirable.

• Knowledge in UL certification is a plus.
