Client is seeking a Radio Data Analyst / Radio Database Administrator with extensive experience working at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

The resource will be responsible for consulting with clients or department heads to define needs / problems, conduct research, and perform studies and surveys to obtain data and analyze problems to advise on or recommend solutions by utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization. This position requires knowledge in fields defined as information technology, radio systems, computer programming, computer security, computer systems analysis, database management, information systems, internet applications and development, software development, and related fields.

This resource will manage the User Configuration Manager (UCM) in Motorola P25 system and Remedy radio asset tracking. In addition, the Radio Data Analyst will review codeplug and fleetmap, radio programming, run reports on service performance, and make performance recommendations for radio initiatives. The Radio Data Analyst is required to have a thorough understanding of MPD and FEMS organizational structure and radio encryption functionality. Resource will support the OUC Radio Manager in operational tasks and have extensive experience in radio support functionality.

Required Skills

• 3 years of experience working in a PSAP

• 3 years of experience providing clerical and administrative support with technical knowledge

• 3 years of experience in all MS Office applications

• 3 years of experience conducting independent research and analysis as requested

• 3 years of experience performing comparative analysis B/W reports

• 2 years of experience managing inventory and tickets through Remedy

• 2 years of experience managing Motorola User Configuration Manager and all associated duties

• 2 years of experience and expert proficiency in Motorola Land Mobile Radios, radio functions and purposes, etc.

• 2 years of experience working with a P25 Radio Network

• 2 years of experience utilizing Provisioning Manager and Radio Manager

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

1. Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.

2. Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.

3. Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment.

4. Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.

5. Advises users on access to various client/server databases.

6. Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to Job Control Language (JCL), access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.

7. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., Cognos)/back-end programming languages (e.g., Structured Query Language (SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design.

8. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
