This flourishing company is looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager with a proactive mindset to manage new product developments. You’ll be responsible for the overall engineering activities for this product segment along with the direction of an engineering staff and interactions with customers. You’ll use all your presentation, management, customer service, sense of urgency, and leadership skills along with your knowledge of electronics to lead this engineering group.

The ideal candidate has:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• At least 5 years’ of experience on multinational projects in the electronics industry.

• Knowledge of DOE, statistical methods, analysis proficiency

• Understanding of basic accounting and business investment justification for preparing quotes and applied cost analysis for customers.

Minimum qualifications:

• BSME

• At least 10 years’ of experience in the electronics industry

• Five of those years need to be in a supervisory or management of the technical staff & engineering processes.

• Knowledge of DOE, statistical methods, analysis proficiency

Your daily routine will need or consist of:

• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and leadership skills

• Direct activities of engineering staff to drive successful development of new products and modifications to existing products in response to market needs

• Design verification, qualification, and reliability test plan execution for new products

• Review engineering project and product documentation and engineering analyses

• Screen product development requests for feasibility and completeness

• Use 3D modeling software as well as MS-Office and statistical analysis software.

• Strong presentation & customer relationship skills

• Prepare and deliver effective presentations to customers & staff

• Drive the product developmental process on new products

• Drive the quality performance according to established metrics

• Work with sales & marketing and other company personnel

• Develop, implement, and report on project status, changes, modifications, extensions, obstacles, and concerns regarding the release of major new products.

• Sense of urgency working with sales & marketing because they are selling the designs, prototypes, and technical information to customers in tight timeframes.
