Requirements

• Hardware: Cisco (IOS and NX-OS), Routers and switches, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls. Citrix Netscaler and F5 Load balancers. VMware virtual switch and general VMware knowledge.

MUST have PALO ALTO and CISCO experience

• Protocols: HTTP, SSL, IP, TCP, UDP, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, MPLS, Multicast, GRE, IPSEC.

• Cisco Call manager 8.x Cisco unified communication.

• EMC VNX SAN fabric manager.

• Infrastructure: Server farms, Data Center Networks, Virtual Networks.

• Familiarity with Data Center Networking concepts:

• Experience with network capacity analysis and planning.

• Experience with principal network equipment vendors (e.g. Cisco, F5, Citrix Netscalers, Palo Alto, Check Point), carriers ( Verizon, Level 3) and should include current network technologies (VPN, firewalls, switching, VLANs, QoS, load balancing, MPLS)

• CCNP, or Voice certifications: plus a minimum of 7 years related network engineering and customer support experience.

• MUST have minimum of 5+ years of Data Center experience

• Must also be proficient in designing, installing, and integrating Security/Wireless and LAN's/WAN's to ensure interoperability of complex conceptual and solutions to networks and develop strong relationships and be able to work with customer technical personnel to provide high level support & debug network problems at advanced levels of complexity.

• Must possess a strong sense of ethics, plus excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in regards to internal and external customers and must be able to react professionally under potentially difficult or stressful circumstances.

Part of the Infrastructure and Networking Operations team. Responsible for networking operations and related infrastructure services on a regional and global perspective. As senior resource responsibilities consist defining best practices, leading design and architecture, engineering implementation and support activities, and being a mentor for more junior personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide network infrastructure design, strategy & implementation plans.

• Oversee the operation and management of network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related technologies to ensure high levels of availability and security for the supported business applications.

• Partner with Security Risk Management teams to design optimal and supportable network designs while providing necessary security and compliance controls to protect client and corporate data.

• Partner with Virtual and Physical Server Platform teams to provide a flexible and scalable network infrastructure to support their evolving server platforms.

• Research, determine & document best practice standards, strategies, and technology roadmaps across the network technology.

• Generate standardized design documents, topologies, and Tier II turnover documents for implementation and operationalization.

• Act as an escalation point for Tier II Engineering teams for areas of subject matter expertise and overall network infrastructure.

• Provide Technical Project Management for initiatives that have been turned-over to Tier II for implementation completion and support.

• Provides peer review and constructive feedback for implementation plans and scripts for other network engineers.

• Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement by identifying network designs, configurations and processes enhanced through re-engineering.

• Has the ability to demonstrate breadth of knowledge across multiple areas of information technology.

• Work effectively on a team or as a sole contributor on an initiative.

• On-going Steady State Administration of EMC VNX, Netgear ReadyNAS, SAN Storage Environments

• Perform Troubleshooting of Problems / Errors in SAN Storage Systems.

• Installation and Configuration of new Storage Systems and Environments.

• Conduct Periodic Performance Analysis and fine tune the Overall Performance.

• Track Storage Systems- Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively.

• Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery.

• Communicate issues and solutions that may impact the team.
