Primary Purpose: Boiler Plant Service, Operations and Maintenance

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

Daily logs of all Central Utility Plant equipment and systems.

Input logs, service and preventative maintenance task in IBM MAXIMO management system.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Perform preventative task on HVAC equipment including but not limited to: high pressure steam boilers and associated systems, water cooled centrifugal chillers, hydronic pumping, cooling tower, BAS and fuel storage systems.

Management Responsibility:

X Individual Contributor – no subordinates.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Coursework related to HVAC service, operation and maintenance preferred.

Experience:

Extensive background service and maintaining high pressure steam boilers

HVAC system operations and maintenance experience.

Training and Certifications:

National Association of Stationary Operating Engineers (NASOE) 1st Class High Pressure Steam Engineer License required or will accept 2nd Class one if you can get the 1st Class one by the end of August.

OSHA-30 and EPA Universal CFC certifications are a plus

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Excellent customer service and professional communication skill

Working knowledge of chiller, steam boiler, hydronics, controls and general mechanical systems.

Keen attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Safety minded, think first attitude.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and excel in a fast-paced work environment that includes frequent interruptions.

Team mindset – flexible to help where the team will benefit most and develop effective professional relationship

Focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines – demonstrates sense of urgency as required.

Physical and/or travel demands:

No travel anticipated, a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement will be provided if required.

This position requires bending, lifting, climbing, carrying and working both indoors and outdoors.
