Our client is seeking Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient clinical care on inpatient detox/rehabilitation substance unit located in Upland, PA, in collaboration with the unit Medical Director.

Demonstrates level of care criteria for admission to the unit. Works collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Provides high quality patient care.

Provides medical support for patients suffering from symptoms associated with the detoxification process in consultation with unit Medical Director. Conducts hospital rounds on all patients as assigned. Implements detox protocols as established by Medical Director. Responsible for assessing health status of patients by completing medical history, physical examination, clinical lab tests when deemed appropriate.

Ideal candidate should be able to function in a fast paced environment. Good communication skills are necessary. Ability to function independently when indicated. Good documentation skills needed.

Candidate will demonstrate a mastery of the protocols outlining their scope of practice, work effectively and collaboratively in a team with different disciplines and with clients from different age groups. Additionally, candidate, in consultation with the unit Medical Director will recognize and respond accordingly in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients. He/she will be psychologically minded, able to recognize their limitations and be flexible enough to work with a wide variety of clients and conditions. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program that conforms to Board of Registered nursing standards, including training and/or education in the area of sub-specialty.

Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges; DEA/CDS; . We welcome recent graduates, as well as experienced practitioners.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, Day/Evening

This position is specifically for a Nurse Practitioner who has proven training as a Psychiatric Mental Health or Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Further, you must have ANCC certification in order for the employer to bill Medicare and Medicaid and most insurers so ANCC certification is a requirement of this position. An FNP without training as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will not be accepted as a candidate for this position.
