Ahern Rentals is looking for a Dispatch Clerk in the San Jose area that is well organized, detail oriented person to coordinate the shipping and pick-up schedule for our delivery truck drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers throughout local area

• Coordinate delivery and pick-up of equipment

• Work with service department to keep trucks maintained

• Communicate with stores when equipment to be delivered has problems

• Assign Field Service Technicians to field repairs

• Answer incoming phone calls and provide customer support

• Maintain accurate files and log books

• Filing, data entry, and retrieval of documents

• Other duties, as assigned by Management

• 1 year previous dispatch experience

• Must be computer literate

• Must be able to operate 2 way radio

• Must be able to multitask

• Knowledge of DOT Laws and regulation a plus

• Previous rental experience a plus

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• Must be able to pass drug test and background check

• Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
