Salary $75,000 - $95,000 Plus Excellent Benefits & Retirement Package & Paid Relocation

One of our largest clients is looking for a Traffic Manager for their Nevada distribution center. The Traffic Manager will be responsible for Manage all aspects of the traffic operations in a high volume environment that involves managing of resources, formulating shipping plan and negotiating with carriers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. An aptitude to function within deadlines while working both independently and as a part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities for this Traffic Manager position:

• Manage fleet of drivers, trucks and dispatchers

• Determine the routing method, divides and routes loads for delivery plans

• Manage in/out bound paperwork

• Handle DOT/ICC issues

• Manage Driver Safety Program

• Promote the importance of safety and conduct quarterly safety meetings

• Handle maintenance issues regarding local transportation equipment repair

• Serve as liaison between Customer & Sales group for delivery communications

• Develop operational policies designed to ensure timely product delivery to customers

• Coordinate with large retail customers at a management level ensuring that specific routing and ship dates are met

• Manage direct shipment arrangements with international and domestic carriers

• Evaluate carrier performance and propose efficiency suggestions

• Negotiate freight rates with carriers, resolve problems to avoid late shipment and charge backs

• Develop operation system to track shipments along the delivery system

• Supervise the loading into containers with proper paperwork such as bill of lading to ensure accuracy

• Use analysis and reporting to provide direction on implementing resolutions to any supply chain opportunities.

Salary $75,000 - $95,000 Plus Excellent Benefits & Retirement Package & Paid Relocation to our Nevada facility. Requirements for this Traffic Manager position:

1. Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience

2. Minimum five years’ experience of progressive distribution knowledge

3. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

4. Possesses a proven track record in freight negotiation

5. History of strong leadership and communication skills

6. Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload within a fast paced environment to meet deadlines

7. Motivated, self-starter, organized, and effective communicator
