Primary Purpose:

The Supervisor's primary purpose is to provide on-site administrative and technical management of field related activities on construction project site.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

• Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required.

• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.

• Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures and safety program requirements.

• Responsible for project profitability through field performance and site expenditures.

• Maintain intimate knowledge of the scope(s) of work for the subcontracts under their jurisdiction, as well as a general knowledge of the overall scope of the project.

• Assist the Project Manager with change management, developing RFIs, and insuring that the project maintains its established schedule.

• Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets and three week look a heads.

• Oversee the overall instillation of mechanical work.

• Consistently maintain daily log book and require the same of Foremen.

• Negotiate field agreements favorable to U.S. Engineering Company.

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers as needed.

Job Scope:

• The scope of work for the Supervisor may vary; from one large project to several smaller projects.

Management Responsibility:

X Supervisor – responsible for hiring, performance management and pay administration for subordinates. List supervised positions:


• High school diploma or equivalency required.


• Minimum 5 years verifiable experience as a Mechanical Superintendent.

• At least 3 year’s experience in large commercial construction.

• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes and standards

• Proven leadership and supervisory skills

• Ability to proactively identify potential problems and solutions.

Physical and/or travel demands:

• Job is performed on project site.

• Infrequent travel is required.

• Physical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting, etc. Position includes sitting and standing, use of telephone, keyboard, and computer monitor.
