Purchasing Manager

Searching for a qualified Purchasing Manager with experience and/or knowledge in corporate procurement strategies and business plans within the manufacturing sector to become an integral team member within a reputable and rapidly growing facility in Western NY.


• In conjunction with the VP, the Purchasing Manager will coordinate the development of company strategic direction and planning for all direct material purchases for the US company operations to ensure corporate procurement strategies and business plans are met and adhered to.

• The successful Purchasing and Procurement Manager will manage the development of purchasing contracts and agreements and negotiations on large productive pricing contracts and manage strategic agreements with key suppliers.

• The Purchasing Manager will manage all purchase part standards working with supplier and market information and lead improvement efforts in Supply Chain efficiency.

• He/she will manage material cost savings programs including productivity savings and the establishment of material cost standards, as well as Supplier selection process and the release of all purchase orders for materials and services.

• The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of department expense budgets, productivity and capital budgets and ensures ISO and Regulatory Compliance processes and procedures are maintained during the course of the year.

• The Purchasing Manager will support new product development and new product launch activities and support efforts to assure the overall quality and cost / margin objectives are met for purchased products, components and materials. He/she will also develop and mentor department staff and ensure staff is growing in existing roles and are developing strengths for future roles within the company.


• Bachelors Degree in an applicable Business or related discipline (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Inventory Control, Supply Chain and Logistics, Negotiation, etc.)

• 3-5 years in staff and team Management within a Purchasing organization or similar experience within the manufacturing sector.

• Great communication and Project Management skills and hands on required.

• PC and software knowledge and experience to include MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Blueprint reading.

• Due to regulations and requirements within the industry, all candidates for consideration must be classified as a US Person which includes US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, Green Card Holder, etc.
