Job Summary:

This Senior Analyst will manage the accounting and planning for IT functional leaders within the IT organization. Working with each Leadership Team, cost center owners and their direct reports, the Senior Analyst will build a comprehensive annual finance plan, partnering with the cost center owners to manage spend to plan, develop a proactive approach for quarterly forecasting, and implement process improvements to manage and track actual spend to plan.

Key responsibilities:

• Cost center expense analysis and reporting which includes: Summarizing highlighted areas of concern, accruing for timing issues and working with Cost Center Owners for spending forecasts and budgets.

• Facilitate the Annual Planning and Quarterly Forecasting processes ensuring targets and timelines are met.

Demonstrate shared ownership in partnership with Cost Center Owners to comply with, meet or exceed budgetary commitments.

• Develop and maintain standard monthly reports that will provide Cost Center Owners with meaningful information required to make informed financial and business decisions. Consolidate all financials and assist in finalizing executive summaries and relevant reporting for senior management.

• Conduct monthly cost center reviews with Cost Center Owners to communicate year to date results, prepare for quarterly forecasting and gain business insights.

• Actively participate in developing business processes which will provide the organization with improved tools for managing the business.

Qualifications :

• Understanding of the operational drivers contributing to department financial performance

• Understanding of the baseline budget, and required accounting treatments (accrual, receipting capitalization, amortization) and OpEx levers

• Ability to identify process gaps and suggesting ways to improve – improve efficiency, experience, compliance

Skills Required:

• Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance

• Proficiency with ERP system such as Oracle or SAP required, and experience with reporting and forecasting tools such as Hyperion Planning or Hyperion Essbase a plus

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of financial management experience

• 2+ years in IT preferably in Biotech or Pharma industry

• Expert in Excel and strong skills in other Microsoft Office tools

• Experience partnering with, and presenting to, executive level audiences.

Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
