About our client:

This is a get-your-foot-in-the-door sales role that recognizes self-starters with promotions as quickly as six months after starting. Cold-calling and software experience is a plus, but this firm’s management is also willing to work with a natural who wants to succeed. You’ll be supporting the sale of cloud based communication tools for a private, profitable software firm with 30 years of success on the books and over 1 million customers that depend on their solutions daily.

Job Overview:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for selling software product offerings to small and medium sized businesses as well as large enterprise accounts. The BDR may have a second focus penetrating certain assigned customers with significant growth opportunity as assigned by management. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the BDR researches accounts using tools such as Discover.org and LinkedIn and prospects for leads utilizing the phone and email. The BDR may also be responsible for covering any open territories.

Key Responsibilities:

- Acquires new customers from an assigned geography and/or a set of named prospects.

- Leads all aspects of the sales process until a lead is generated and qualified. Turns lead over to a sales representative at that time.

- Utilizes all company resources necessary to assist in the development of proposals and implementation of solutions as needed or as directed by the management.

- Sells a subset of company products and services to assigned opportunities.

- Refers other opportunities for growth in products and services to specific sales representatives as appropriate.

- Ensures a seamless transition of customer responsibility to the appropriate sales representative.

- Assists other sales and service resources when called upon by management.

- Collaborates with marketing on specific campaigns within verticals.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree

- Excellent communication and client relationship building skills

- CRM experience would be super helpful

- Strong desire to excel in a sales career
