Assistant Production Supervisor:

Company that designs connection systems that transmit signals, data or power through challenging media located in Portsmouth, NH is seeking to hire for this position. Company products go in aircraft, biomedical devices, deep-sea exploration vehicles, offshore oil and gas operations, power generation including nuclear power and submarines.

Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:

Help direct and coordinate daily activities involved in producing Sub Safe Level 1 products.

Establishing and/or adjusting work procedures and manpower to meet production schedules

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety

Assisting workers in solving problems

Help implement plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals

Assist with counseling, training and development of direct reports

Qualifications of the Assistant Production Supervisor:

Ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment

Ability to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed

Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures

Ability to use hand tools, soldering and measuring

Good interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.

Excellent Organizational Skills

Computer Literate- experience with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP (helpful)

Experience Needed:

Minimum 3-5 years in manufacturing, Sub Safe Level One preferred.

Associates Degree and or supervisory certifications

Prior Lead experience preferable

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and World Class Manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures is desirable

Ability to apply common sense in performing job

Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to use basic high school math skills

This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm. Pay is dependent on experience.
