Description:

The Research Associate II will:

- Perform brain dissections, survival surgery, vidoe and EEG monitoring, and anlysis of seizures in rodents.

- Formulate drugs, dose small rodents (mice/rats), conduct behavior tests and serial sample collections of tissues for biomarker and PK/PD analysis.

- Maintain the operation of te in vivo lab according to established standards and compliances.

- Perform general lab support duties such as preparation of solutions, cleaning and maintaining lab equipment

• Background in Neuroscience/Neuropharmacology research a MUST

• Animal’s mice and rats dosing behavior surgery electrophysiology experience a MUST

Surgery rats and mice

• EEG site study

• Survival surgery

• Dosing surgery

• Neuroscience, Pharmacology or related field/education

• Highly competent in animal handling, dosing compounds to animals, tissue collection and familiarity with CNS biology

Physical Demands:

- Carrying, handling and reaching for objects up to 25 lbs

- Able to work in a lab environment

- Exposure to hazardous and toxic chemicals

- Potential exposure to rodent allergens
