ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF A PROJECT OFFICER

Linking the Youth of Nigeria through Exchange (LYNX-NIGERIA) is a child and youth development organization committed to fostering empowerment and socially responsible citizenship among Nigerian children and youth through civic and human rights education, financial education and economic empowerment and community service learning.

Job Summary:

The person will work on advocating for the passage of the child right bill, work on social media campaign, and also ensure effective monitoring of the ongoing project and enterprise. The position will cover a period of the project and the officer will put in 40hrs per week. Salary will be based on deliverables.

Reports to:

National Programme Officer

Location:

Kaduna State

Responsibilities:

• Direct Implementation on project activities

• Advocate for the passage of child right bill

• Facilitate good relationship between the organization and community stakeholder

• Play the role of M & E where necessary

• Monitoring of enterprise

• Periodic Advocacy visit to ministry

• Manage social media campaign in Kaduna state

• Other tasks may be assigned by the management

Position Requirements: Qualification and experience needed for this position include:

• Graduate in B.Sc./HND Public admin, Project management, social sciences or any related course

• Must be experienced in advocacy

• Fluent in Hausa language

• Must be familiar with Kaduna environs

• Basic knowledge on projects management

• Good communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills, team player, able to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• Good IT skills

• Passion for Child and Youth development/working with NGOs

• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
