Your Duties:

Stantec is currently seeking a CAD Technician with up to 3 years of experience to join our Community Development group in our Philadelphia, PA office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects for clients within the private and municipal sectors. Typical projects involve surveying and site/civil design for residential and commercial site development, as well as public capital improvement projects to include cutting-edge green stormwater infrastructure projects.

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Produce accurate survey, design, and construction drawings and revisions as directed by the project leader using AutoCAD Civil 3D (current edition)

Assist in assembly of drawing sets as requested

Assist in information gathering and construction permitting activities as needed;

Meet established time and cost goals for each assigned task

Understand Stantec and client standards and ensure that work meets those standards

Conduct site visits to verify existing site conditions (car is not required).

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

High School Diploma

0-3 years of experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D 2017 is preferred)

Experience with Microsoft Office

Familiarity with construction standards and terminology

Preferred Experience:

Experience with surveying and site/civil engineering planning and design.

CAD Certification from a technical school or equivalent CAD experience.

Knowledge of Civil 3D Computer User Interface, Work Space, User Profiles and Customization, Tool Palettes, Civil 3D Styles, Design Center, points, survey objects, feature lines, grading objects, corridors, assemblies, sub-assemblies, alignments and profiles, sections, labels, and parcels.

Familiarity with City of Philadelphia Design and Survey Standards (especially Philadelphia Water Department and Philadelphia Streets Department).
