Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for a very important client

Manages the development and implementation process of company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort. Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project. Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans. Assures project quality by using standard development methodologies and by working with SQA to develop and execute project quality plans. Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings. Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate. Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring more junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.

This role is to be selected and placed in the position by the Patient Recruitment Solutions (PRS) Associate Director. This position works under general supervision of the Patient Recruitment Solutions manager. The manager will provide hands–on direction and guidance based on the project strategy. The project manager will receive full support from both the Director and Manager of Patient Recruitment Solutions at all times.

The Project Manager role implements and executes the action items as defined by the needs of the project for the development, expansion and maintenance of the Clinical Trials and Me Website. A very thorough training program has been well established. The project manager is expected to work on a self-directed basis once full training and onboarding has been completed. The project manager is expected to have strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with company affiliate (country) representatives.

The Affiliate Project Manager is expected to have more than 3 years of project management experience and within an IT environment. This project is focused on the development and expansion of a patient web site and prior experience with IT projects is a must. Intermediate Microsoft Project experience is a must.

This Project Manager role – is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the project with direct focus on affiliate (country) initiatives for the project. The expectation is that the project manager will:

-Plan, organize, activate and control the day-to-day process of activating and maintaining affiliate sites by coordinating the necessary action items with the appropriate stake holders

-Work with senior staff on the implementation and execution of action items. This includes collaboration on the development of plans and the research necessary to execute the plan(s)

-Codevelop and maintain timelines against initiatives. Alert PRS Manager and Director if timing is not adhered to, and provide solutions for a secondary plan

-Provide ongoing reporting of results, implications and recommended action steps

-Collaborate with the initiative project coordinator on documentation of meetings/conference calls, outlining direction and identification of action items

-While the initial contract will be for one year, the expectation is that we will find a strong candidate that we can transition to a multiyear assignment for this high profile global project.

Requirement:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures. General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. (Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
