We are seeking a Psychiatrist for our Behavioral Health Services for our community Healthcare Facility in Milwaukee, WI.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Medical Director, the psychiatrist performs the highest quality of service to clients, to include OPMHC, CSP etc. in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs psychiatric assessments on all new OPMHC patients.

Prescribes and monitors psychiatric medications

Develops treatment plans on all OPMHC patients

Educates Recovery clinic staff regarding use and side effects of psychiatric medications

Provides ongoing supervision of OPMHC staff surrounding issues of case management and psychotherapy

Provide therapy in OPMHC as needed to meet state standards.

Attend and actively participate in scheduled internal meetings.

Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.

Ensure the completion of all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of psychiatrist residency program.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a medical licensure in state of Wisconsin with specialty in psychiatry and board certification.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, typewriter, calculator, FAX, pager, cell phone, and photocopier.
