Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree required;

• Experience working in a union manufacturing environment required;

• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices;

• Ability to multi-task, deal with employees with diverse backgrounds and good problem solving skills;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;

• Knowledge of Ulti-Pro payroll & HR software a plus;

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides work direction for staff employees in manufacturing by setting priorities and objectives, supervising performance of direct reports, conducting performance reviews, and performing other supervisory duties such as coaching, training, and coordinating work assignments;

• Provide HR support and advice to Plant Operations management teams in two manufacturing facilities;

• Improve the effectiveness of human resource programs in a union environment by developing

• Administer union contract, policies and procedures for Human Resource Department

• Provides counseling and dispute resolution regarding employee issues to workers and management by consulting with supervisors and all levels of management.

• Recruit and hire qualified candidates following EEO and ADA hiring guidelines for exempt and non-exempt positions.

• Coordinate and interpret all company policies and union contract to assure consistent application and equitable employee relations.

• Directs the design and implementation of human resource development programs;
