We have a new employment opportunity for a Director of Housekeeping and Laundry in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility (LTC / SNF) in Murrieta, California. The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment within this beautiful skilled nursing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Housekeeping & Laundry Services professional to create a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents. Prior nursing home experience is required.

Primary responsibilities include;

• Manages housekeeping & laundry staff according to state regulations & facility policy

• Develops routine cleaning schedules for resident rooms and common areas of facility

• Organizes departmental activities to accomplish goals in an efficiently

• Properly follows and maintains Material Safety Data Sheets

• Supervises and educates staff with regard to proper use and care of equipment

• Allocates resources in an efficient and economic manner

• Consistently follows OSHA guidelines

• Processes and transport linens properly to prevent the spread of infection

• Maintains linen inventories at levels consistent with facility need.

• Maintains adequate supplies of clean linen on units at all times

• Ensures that personal laundry is returned without damage to its proper owner

• Maintains schedule for large projects such as floor refinishing, walls, windows, etc.
