Senior Engineer (Antibiotic Manufacturing)

The basic function of this position is to, independently or as part of a project team, plan, design, and implement varied technical projects and studies requiring knowledge of engineering and/or the chemical sciences. Work requires expertise and full application of sound scientific principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and project management skills, as well as a working knowledge of Client methods, standards, procedures, and practices. The incumbent is expected to collect and interpret information and develop/implement solutions to projects of various scopes. Responsibilities include, but not limited to providing daily technical support to the manufacturing areas, including the monitoring of key processing parameters, troubleshooting/resolution of manufacturing problems, demonstration of new and/or improved processes, project execution, assisting the manufacturing area in achieving safety, productivity, and financial targets, supporting efforts to maintain regulatory compliance, and focusing on improving the efficiency of the work environment.


A minimum of a B.S. or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, and a preference for individuals with manufacturing or technical support experience in the pharmaceutical/food or chemical manufacturing environment. The selected candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal skills, and a high degree of team skills. Job responsibilities may involve shift work at times. Note: The Danville Site is a manufacturer of beta lactam antibiotics and, as a result, candidates must be able to work in and around the manufacturing and warehouse areas associated with such chemicals.
