Sr. Simulation I & C Project Engineer (Power & Water) - PA

We are currently partnered with one of the premier engineering consulting firms with a global reach to identify Simulation Engineering candidates who stand out amongst their peers in both:

--- the power industry control logic systems and

--- their ability to work with clients in using simulation systems to increase production and efficiency.

If you have experience with Simulation Projects or a senior engineer who is ready to make your next career move to join this diverse team of simulation engineers and support delivery of operator training simulators to power plants around the globe, we want to learn more about you. Almost all of your work would be performed inside the United States with the support/interaction of a global team (25% travel).

As a Sr. Simulation I&C Engineer (with power and water industry experience) your work will include:

• Applying knowledge in power plant industry and/or simulation technology in standard project management practices (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing) in order to support the installation and application of a simulator by the end-user

•Ability to create and maintain schedules with understanding that several inputs/outputs may or may not be in your control

•Ability to comprehend power plant controls logic and operation with the ability to present how simulation could be utilized to increase their production/efficiency

•Ability to gather technical equipment specifications from vendor manuals and diagrams with an overall understanding of how best to represent them mathematically through simulation algorithms

•Understanding today’s technology and possessing the capacity to utilize these technologies in a connected fashion to create to enhance the environment required to train in the power plant industry

•Ability to work within and lead a team. Possess the listening skills necessary to receive instruction and direction. Possess the leadership to pass those directives to other colleagues in order to achieve a satisfied customer and high quality product.

•Ability to write technical proposals that fully capture the scope, schedule, requirements and end product specifications that would completely detail a project for the power plant industry

•Proven track record of managing and working with staff from multiple backgrounds and locations to provide solutions in a timely manner

The successful candidate should have: •Strong technical writing skills.

•Good communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills.

•Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.

Requirements for this Sr. Simulation I&C Project Engineer include:

•BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred), a Master’s degree is a plus

•At least five years of experience in the Fossil Power Plant industry and/or simulation industry

The position requires 25% travel.
