Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & DeliveryManage comprehensive civil engineering design for large residential developments, including: Master planning, lot layout, road networks, open-space design\nGrading and earthwork balancing\nSanitary, storm, and water utility design\nStormwater management and detention/retention systems\n\nLead project planning including scope, schedule, resourcing, and budget management.\nOversee preparation of construction drawings, engineering reports, and permitting packages.\nEnsure quality control and adherence to local and MSG standards as well as client expectations.\n Client Engagement & Business Development\nServe as primary client contact for residential developers, builders, and landowners.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with regional and national homebuilders.\nPresent project deliverables to clients, regulatory agencies, and municipal authorities.\nParticipate in proposal preparation, project interviews, and business development initiatives.\n Regulatory & Permitting Coordination\nManage permitting and reviews with municipalities, local review agencies, and Ohio EPA.\nNavigate zoning, entitlement processes, and early-stage land planning requirements.\nAddress comments from reviewing agencies and coordinate revisions with internal teams.\n Construction SupportOversee construction-phase services including: \nSite visits\nResponding to RFIs\nReviewing change orders\nCoordinating with contractors and field staff\nAssist clients and contractors with resolving design or field issues to keep projects moving.

Team Leadership & Mentorship\nDirect and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technicians.\nCoordinate multi-disciplinary support from environmental, transportation, survey, construction and geotechnical groups.\nPromote a collaborative, growth-focused team culture\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise Required\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Ohio, or ability to obtain within 6 months.\n8+ years of civil site development experience, with at least 2 years focused on residential land development.\nStrong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (alignments, corridors, grading, profiles, pipe networks).\nDemonstrated experience managing clients, projects, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.\nKnowledge of local development codes, stormwater regulations, and residential design standards.\n Preferred\nExperience with large, multi-phase residential communities or master-planned developments.\nFamiliarity with Columbus-area permitting agencies and development processes.\nStrong understanding of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and stormwater best practices.\nExperience in mentoring staff and leading internal design teams.\nBenefits\n401(k) w/ company match\nHealth insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, Life\nFlexible schedule\nPaid time off\nReferral program\nTuition reimbursement\n\nCatalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
