Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

Contract: Ongoing

Pay Rate: Up to $42

We are looking for a thoughtful UX Designer Intermediate (3-6 years) to support digital product experiences within the Financial Services industry. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on design execution, creating intuitive and visually refined solutions for web-based products. The role works closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to shape user journeys, refine interfaces, and improve overall usability across new and existing features.

Responsibilities:

• Lead UX work from early concept development through final design deliverables, ensuring each stage aligns with user needs and business goals.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product ideas into clear, engaging digital experiences for web platforms.

• Create user flows, wireframes, storyboards, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design direction effectively.

• Define and evolve interface patterns and user models for both new initiatives and enhancements to existing products.

• Evaluate product usability through review and testing, then recommend practical design improvements that strengthen the user experience.

• Develop visually compelling interface solutions that reflect strong design fundamentals and support intuitive navigation.

• Apply user-centered design methods to solve friction points and improve critical moments within the customer journey.

• Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining a high standard of detail and consistency.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in UX design, UI design, or a closely related digital product design role.

• Demonstrated ability to design for web and other digital experiences using user-centered design principles.

• Proficiency in producing wireframes, mockups, storyboards, and prototypes to support design communication and decision-making.

• Strong visual design skills with an eye for layout, interaction patterns, and usability best practices.

• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

• Experience partnering with product managers, developers, and designers in a collaborative delivery environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design choices and incorporate feedback constructively.

• Familiarity with usability evaluation techniques and a consistent focus on improving the end-user experience.

The salary range for this position is $42/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
