The Role: EQ Analyst

The EQ Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing equipment costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing financial insights to support decision-making within Sandvik M and C Zimbabwe (PVT Ltd. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing equipment utilization and profitability.

Key Performance Areas:

Track and monitor all equipment -related costs and analyse cost variances and identify areas for cost reduction.

Prepare accurate and timely cost reports for management review.

Process supplier orders accurately and efficiently. Monitor order fulfilment and ensure timely delivery.

Resolve order-related issues and address supplier inquiries. Process all internal requisitions from the mine site, workshop, and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and services.

Ensure timely processing of costs in ERP for financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Maintain work-in-progress tracking systems - capturing and tracking costs associated with ongoing jobs including labour, materials, and overheads.

Regularly track and analyse work-in-progress costs to identify trends, variances, and potential cost overruns.

Ensure that all jobs are processed according to the service process.

Ensure that there are accurate supplier base categories for the service reports. Ensure accurate and consistent allocation of costs to provide a clear picture of project profitability.

Ensure efficient and effective workshop and field service tracking.

Ensure that all warrant documents from suppliers are fully approved and processed.

Submits Warranty claim forms on behalf of the customer. Track warrant progress to ensure warranties are submitted within global standards.

Ensure the warrant report is clear and has all the information to assist management in submitting the claims.

Job Qualifications

The EQ Administrator is expected to have

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Professional Qualification like ACCA and CIMA qualification is a significant advantage.

Proven administrative experience, preferably in cost tracking or order processing.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Power BI, Aurora, Operational Reporting and relevant software.

Experience in technical & business discussions

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost analysis, preferably within a manufacturing, mining, or heavy equipment industry.

Proven experience with financial modeling and data analysis techniques.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software.

Understanding of equipment lifecycle costing principles.
